Paul Morgan
5/6 Boys
Paul, a first-generation Mexican-American from Fallbrook in North San Diego County, discovered his passion for lacrosse during high school and has since built a multifaceted career as a player, coach, and official.
As a collegiate athlete, Paul excelled at Cal State University Fullerton, where he served as captain of the Men’s Lacrosse team in 2013 and 2014. He earned 1st Team All-SLC honors and was named a 3rd Team All-American in 2013, recognizing his outstanding on-field performance.
Paul’s coaching career spans over a decade. He served as Varsity Head Coach at Fallbrook High School for more than nine years and founded the 395 Starz program, one of the nation’s largest off-season travel teams. Under his leadership, the program grew rapidly, expanding from two teams to six within a year, catering to players from 4th to 12th grade. Paul also spent three years as Defensive Coordinator for Cal State San Marcos.
For the past 10 years, Paul has officiated lacrosse at the youth and high school levels. In 2021, he joined the National Intercollegiate Lacrosse Officials Association (NILOA), earning credentials to officiate collegiate games and further solidifying his commitment to the sport.



Jack Pharies
5/6 Boys
Jack grew up in San Diego, where he played lacrosse at Cathedral Catholic High School and competed with elite clubs such as 395 Starz, RC, and West Coast Starz. During this time, he also volunteered as an assistant coach for younger 395 Starz teams under Paul Morgan.
After high school, he was recruited to play NCAA Division III lacrosse at Centre College, where he competed for four years, contributing to an SAA Championship and the program’s first NCAA Sweet 16 appearance.
Post-college, he moved to Texas, where he coached with UNRL Texas for two years and served as an assistant coach for Round Rock High School for one season. While in Austin, he also played with the Austin Lacrosse Club and currently plays for San Diego Kings LC.

Sean Harris
5/6 Boys
Sean Harris, a native San Diegan, has been deeply involved in lacrosse as both a player and coach. He played throughout high school and has coached his sons’ teams through various age groups at MTLC (K-8th). Sean has also coached with local clubs such as LAX Dogs, Zombies, and Top Corner, leading his team to win the 2024 Top Corner 6-8th Grade Championship.
Professionally, Sean has been a Financial Consultant at Kaiser Permanente for 15 years, managing budgets and funding for healthcare projects. He holds an MBA in healthcare finance and has served on leadership boards, including genKP and the Rosie the Riveter Trust Finance Committee.
Sean is passionate about strengthening youth lacrosse in the community, advocating for increased field space and fostering a player-centered program to inspire the next generation of athletes. His dedication reflects his desire to give back to the sport that has played such a pivotal role in his life.

Dustin Lonero
5/6 Boys
Dustin Lonero was born and raised in San Jose, Ca and attended the United States Naval Academy where he was on the boxing team for 4 years. He is a career naval officer with 24 years of service. He has two sons Shea (12) and Blake (9) who are both avid lacrosse players. Dustin has been coaching for Mission Trails Osprey for the last 3 years. Additionally he coaches Pop Warner football and youth basketball.

Dave Gersz
3/4 Boys – Gold
Dave brings a unique blend of playing and coaching experience to the field, combined with a strong passion for supporting youth sports. He played lacrosse for two years in high school and two years at the club level at Ohio State University, where he developed a deep understanding of the game.
As a coach, Dave led the Mission Trails K/2 team for two seasons, fostering foundational skills and a love for the sport in young athletes. This year, he’s expanding his coaching expertise as an assistant to the 3/4 team, eager to continue learning and contributing to his team’s success.
A dedicated sports enthusiast, Dave’s favorite teams are the Buckeyes, Detroit Lions, San Diego Seals, and of course, any team his two sons are a part of.

Nathan Odell
K/1 Boys
Coach Odell was born and raised in the Boston, MA area, and played Division I lacrosse at Brown University for 4 years, helping to win the Ivy League Championship in 2008. In college, Odell focused on defensive midfield, but has extensive offensive experience from high school and his offensive midfield position in SoCal club ball (currently with the San Diego Kings #8; IG:SDKingsLC).
Coach Odell is excited to motivate the next generation of lacrosse players to reach their full potential and grow as players, teammates, and young leaders in the community.


Alicia Durante
7/8 Girls
Alicia joined MTLC in 2021 as both a head coach and the Girl’s Program Director. She has extensive experience as a player, coach, and official, from youth through college.
A native San Diegan, Alicia played at Coronado High School, serving as a captain and earning MVP honors. She went on to co-found San Diego State University’s Club Lacrosse program, again earning multi-year captain and MVP honors. She led her team to the Western Women’s Lacrosse League (WWLL) Division-II Championship, earning the WWLL DII MVP award, and was later named to the WWLL DI 1st Team.
Alicia’s coaching experience includes:
- 7 years as a head coach at two San Diego high schools, including three years helping to establish Patrick Henry’s lacrosse program.
- 2x Head Coach for the Pacific So-Cal Region lacrosse team, representing Southern California at the National Tournament.
- Program Director for South Swell Sports.
- US Lacrosse San Diego Chapter – All About Lacrosse Award Recipient.
- Youth Coach for Adrenaline Lacrosse and Coronado Lacrosse Club.
In addition to coaching, Alicia has officiated lacrosse in San Diego for over 15 years, from youth to post-collegiate levels. She serves as Vice President of the San Diego County Lacrosse Umpire Board and is a mentor and trainer for new officials.

Mark Goldberg
5/6 Girls
Coach Mark joined Osprey in 2023, as a head coach in the girl’s program. He currently coaches the 5/6 team, which his daughter plays on. Mark grew up and played youth and high school lacrosse in New York for a top tier program. He continued playing club Men’s lacrosse in Southern California for the San Diego Men’s Club team from 2000 to 2008. Mark also officiated boy’s/men’s lacrosse at youth/high school/collegiate/and men’s club levels for 10 years in San Diego and Southern California.

Danny Kolts

Coach Danny Kolts grew up playing lacrosse locally in San Diego, CA, where he developed a deep passion for the game. His coaching journey began with the Encinitas Mustangs and continued at Santa Fe Christian and the University of San Diego, where he honed his skills in player development and leadership. Since joining Mission Trails Lacrosse in 2024, Coach Kolts has brought his wealth of experience, dedication, and love for the sport to the program, inspiring players to excel both on and off the field.

Andrew O’Neill
K/2 Girls
Andrew O’Neill has over 15 years of coaching experience at the youth, high school and collegiate levels. He’s currently the boys head coach at San Diego State University. Coach O’Neill led Patrick Henry to a DII CIF Championship in 2021 and followed up with a DI CIF Championship in 2022. He also led the MTLC 5/6A Boys to back-to-back A Division Championships in 2021 and 2022. Prior to moving to San Carlos and taking over as Head Coach at Patrick Henry, Coach O’Neill was the Offensive Coordinator at SDSU from 2013-2016 helping lead the program to a 48-21 record, first and only Top 10 ranking and National Tournament appearance. Coach O’Neill also played at SDSU, was a 2x Captain and MVP and holds records for Career Points and Points Per Game.

Kathryn Welch
K/2 Girls
Kathryn has worked as an educator at Helix Charter High school for the past 18 years. 12 of those she served as the Head Athletic Trainer and the last four as the Assistant Athletic Director. She has three daughters ages 11, 11 and 6 who all love lacrosse. Her family has been a MTLC family for 5 years now and they love the support, community, and intentional coaching provided to all kiddos. She is excited to help the K/2 girls fall in love with Lacrosse and teamwork.
